This book is so intense! I could not put it down. I lost sleep, and read it all in 2 days. Some of you could read it in a certain ammount of hours or a day, but I am not quite that fast, and I did have to work those days. It is a frustrating story, is the child telling the truth or making it up? You will have to find out for yourself. It is very graphic, and very disturbing, however, I was able to read it. I think it is the way Torey L. Hayden writes. And I think the other children in her class help break a few things up. I did laugh a few times out loud. I would even say things like,"Oh Jeremiah." and smile or shake my head. He is quite a character himself. But you will fall in love with Jadie, and your heart will be severly touched by her story, both bad and good. It is not light reading, at least not emotionally. But I do recomend it, highly. I will be releasing it soon, maybe tomorrow. Depending on if I have time between jobs. Otherwise, maybe not until Saturday.

This was a remarkable book. The writing is lovely, the personal stories are poignant and moving. If you want to get a better understanding of some of the underlying issues surrounding our current immigration debate, do read this and learn.
