loved it, since i read it a while ago its hard to remember the details. but i love books that are non-fiction and realistic
I'm giving it three stars for the book, and one extra star because I'm very proud of Jim! Haven't seen him in years, but no doubt he's still the same great person I knew back when.
Good, but, you know... the Holocaust... so it's a downer no matter what. But really well written and wonderful.
I didn't dislike this, but I also wasn't really invested in it. I got about halfway through and realized I wasn't going to finish before our book club meeting, which I wasn't even sure I was going to attend. So I stopped. I liked the characters well enough but one thing that bothered me was that halfway through, there were still two completely separate plots, and while I was pretty sure they were eventually going to overlap, there was no indication that was going to happen anytime soon.
