accual rating 2.5 I was very skeptical about this book and didnt think i would like it. i was assigned to read this book for summer reading. it was a very thought provoking book and definitely made me think. i liked how deep it got and i myself would never be able to live in a time that books arent allowed. i have mixed feelings about the end and is why i only gave this book 2 stars. all in all it was a good book.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors, graphics, simple rhymes and concept of this book! Can't wait to read it to the grands and play a game of "where do YOU see dots??"

** spoiler alert ** This seems to be a direct rewrite/resetting of "The Count of Monte Christo"? I have not read that book in a long time, but have noticed it appearing as a device in a bunch of movies and such. The trapped character reads that story, dreams of revenge, and so on. I like vengeance! The Count of Monte Christo was a real stretcher, but was supposed to be set in the 1600's if I recall... This one is unbelievable in the extreme. Laughable even, that one man could take another's identity IN PRISON by wearing his necklace and changing his haircut. Then go out and fool that man's family, lawyers, Swiss bankers, and everyone else. Especially in the modern world of fingerprints, DNA, even photographs. Belief suspended, this was a good story though. A fun read. It would have been better if the objects of Danny's revenge were more thoroughly ground into the dirt. Side note: Having read a bunch of his stuff, I've decided I like JA much better after he went to jail. "Never trust a philosopher who hasn't been to prison" - Timothy Leary
