My mom thought I was too young to really understand this book when I was in high school, but it was one of the books that a relative had happened to leave at our extended family's shared lake cabin, so I read it. I re-read it occasionally when I'm there, so this book reminds me of summer. I like the love story in this novel because the man she falls in love with is probably one of the most endearing characters I've ever read.

hilarious, eccentric, and moving. good for anyone lost and weird.
