This does what it needs to do, as long as you're interested in Tina Fey and find her funny. This book (or audiobook in my case) makes you laugh a lot. That's really all that should be required of it. There were some great stories and good slices of life (more towards the beginning) but the bottom line is you'll be laughing all the way through. The book does its job and does it well.
Okay this movie scared the bejesus out of me, so I put off reading the book for a long time. The book is much different though. There is a lot more emotion involved, and you feel the pain of the family losing their son a lot more. It's actually kind of a tear-jerker.
