Didn't work for me.
This is the book that made me want to write. I read it when I was a frustrated middle schooler, and I could really relate to the characters, even though I had not had the same experiences. It was one of my first truly grown-up books, and something about it validated my thoughts, opening up writing as a way to further validate my thoughts. I should really reread it, and remind myself why I do what I do.
